Hi, Basically I have a form created and connected to a form document library. I have all of the forms mapped to columns so that I can see the forms values in the document library. But this does me no good until I can assign this as a task to a resource. I'd like to be able to do this with-out workflows involved. The main reasons why I would like to be able to do this is that i am using the task list as my "work management" tool. There are two aspects that are critical for me, automated emails when the assignee changes, as well as a comments/description rich text column/box that has the ability to append changes with a date time stamp signaling the updates to the task. How have others been able to merge the tool processes together? Phil

I am doing something similar right now but using a workflow. I don't know how you would achieve what you want without a workflow. I would go with a state machine workflow and have it trigger everytime a new form library item is created. then you can easily transfer data between the 2

Thanks, i resolved my solution to use multiple submits, and further to use rules for the email submits to control who gets what.
