Populate Repeating table from another Repeating table

     Hi,

I am developing an IP 2003 application that is used in WSS 3.0.  I have a repeating table A in my form with three fields namely Name, Role, Type. Once i submit this value to the sharepoint site using dataconnection I m displaying the values in another view eg, viewcomplete

In this completed view, I have another repeating table B,  with three fields namely,  Name, Comments, Status. I want to populate only the Name from repeating table A.

When saving the form to the sharepoint site I assinged the value of Name field from TableA  to Tbale B. but it shows only the first row value of Table A in Table B.

The rows are not being appending in table B. what is the reason??

The scenario you are describing sounds like some coding will be necessary to insert into Table B the same number of rows as Table A. But I'm not sure of the code itself. Hopefully other forum members can confirm/deny this and provide further advice.

    Hi,

    For this you need code.

You need to get the Name node of Table B repeating node from sample data xml and then assign Table A values to this new node.

Then append this new node as child to Table B repeating node.

    Hope this helps.
