Hello!

 I am having some trouble getting my submit functions to work. I have tried it a couple of different ways including using two buttons and the rules function and adding an action to submit...the email will go, then it says all the rules were not applied and it never sends it to the database. If I run these submits one at a time (meaning I delete the email submit rule) it goes to the database just fine. What is going wrong? Some background I have my form hooked up to an ACCESS database and am using InfoPath 2003. This is over a Network connection and the access database is located on the same file server and drive as the InfoPath form.

After sending the email are you changing any data or existing fields? Do you have any condition your rule to submitting to database?

I think in the submit connection of email you are Closing the form. Check out this once. To check this follow the below steps.

1. Go to button properties.

2. Click on submit options.

3. Click on Advanced button.

4. Check in After Submit drop down.
