InfoPath Dev

I created a browser enabled InfoPath 2007 form. The submit options are set to 
email the form to my work email address and to a form library that has email 
submission enabled. When I fill in the form, I get the form contents in my 
email mailbox. But the form is not being emailed to the form library. I tried 
directly emailing the form library myself and it accepted the email no 
problem. So I am stumped. I do not know why it is not posting the email from 
the form submit. Any ideas?

I'm not sure what is happening there, but do you really want to email the form to the library?  Why not create a data connection that submits the form to the library like normal, and then reference that data connection in your submit?  It's a very simple thing that should be very easy with no hassle.  Let me know if you need specific details.

How do I do as you suggest? (It sounds even better!)

I did create a Data Connection. I had to go back and look. Details are:

Well, it depends ultimately on how your users are "submitting" the form.  Are they using the Save, Save As, or Submit built-in buttons in the top-left and bottom-left toolbars?  Or, are you using a custom button in the form that has rules behind it?  I personally prefer to always use a custom button in the form with rules behind it to do many things as I please and so that I can choose which views have or do not have specific buttons (can't do that with the built-in toolbar functions).  However, the underlying premise will be the same.  Here are the steps:

1. Create a new SUBMIT data connection pointing to your form library - name it whatever and specify the filename in here (can be a concatenate expression or can point to another data element in the form that contains the dynamic filename you've generated using data in the form)
2. Add this submit to whatever button you're using to submit your form (whatever triggers the email)
3. This simply submits the form to the library the way it was intended and pulls in all the metadata that you chose to promote in the property promotion screen when publishing

That's an email submit.  I'm talking about submitting to a SharePoint library - you get this option in the GUI when setting up the submit data connection.  You'll see it in the list of 4 options or so..

Your question got me to thinking! I tried the connection for a document library instead. That worked! Thank you!

That's exactly what I was talking about and is what you would want to use in the future.  It is super easy and is how it was designed to be put into the library, imo.
