    Report from Multiple Infopath Form

    Hi

I have an infopath form library containing lets say 100 infopath forms.

now i have data in each infopath form namely

    id

    designation

    employee picture

    fullname.

Can any body please help how can i query across the infopath form library and get the data from all these forms and put it one xml file or whatever and use for reporting.

    Hi

Did you look at the Merge feature of InfoPath and SharePoint ?
    - In Form Options of the InfoPath Template -> Advanced -> Enable for merging
    - In Sharepoint, in the dropdown to select the views, select merge, select the forms you like and click on th Merge button

The result can't be wat you were lloking for, as preparing the form for merging is also preparing the datasource, like placing the fields in a repeating node etc.

Then with some rules you can make the form nicer

    OR

you can promote the InfoPath Fields and create views with filters

Well, what kind of report form?

You can already pull all of your data from InfoPath into the library by promoting the properties.  Then, you can do all sorts of things with that data in SharePoint, such as grouping, filtering, sorting, and doing totals.  Also, you can have a datasheet view that acts as a spreadsheet that you can then export to Access, export to Excel, create a pivot table directly in Excel, etc.  You can also create all sorts of different views that display the data in different ways.  This is built-in reporting.  Do you truly need to send all the data to some other report externally?

You can do the following then if you don't want to merge

     - Create a data connection to the Form Library
     - Select the promoted field
     - Show these in the Form, do some calculations if you want etc.
