Using a Centrally Managed Data Connection

I have built a bunch of infopath forms that use office data connections.  We are getting ready to move the forms to our sharepoint server.  I am attempting to utilize centrally managed connection.  I created a UDL file and uploaded it to the data connection library as well as the central admin site.  I have also configured the data connection on the form to use this connection with the central admin option checked.

Every time I launch the form on the server, it gives me a generic message of: An error occurred accessing a data source.  Real helpful.  I looked through the SP logs and do not see anything either.

What is strange is that the form will retrieve all the properties from the UDL file and the central admin site shows the form is referencing the UDL as well.

    Does anyone have any advice?

Re: Using a Centrally Managed Data Connection

    Hello,

Where is the udcx file stored?

Upload the udcx files into central admin and link into them with InfoPath or Visual Studio Infopath project.

If they already are then from the central admin site: Administration->InfoPath Form Services->Manage Form Services

    Tick the following:

    1. Allow user form to use authentication information contained in the data connection file
    2. Allow cross domain access

Take a look at this post which helped me sort out udcx files.
