Infopath: Rich TextBox

Whenever i copy some text to a rich textbox control from a text file, then for each new line in the text file, a
tag is generated in the output xml.

But the same behaviour is not seen when we manually type content in a rich textbox and press enter for a new line. So can someone suggest the reason behind this. And how can i get rid of it in my output xml.

    Thanks.

    Hello Welcome to the Forums,

If we copy the text from textbox means we are copying the break lines data from that text box then it will copy as
tags includes. If we are typing the data means data means that is the behavior of Rich text box to maintain the break lines of our data.

    If you want avoid those
tags from copy data then you have to first in notepad then copy from the notepad to Rich text box.

I can only guess, but it seems that InfoPath interperets newlines as soft returns (
) when you paste data into a Rich Text Box. If you press Shift+Enter while typing in a rich text box it will insert a
there too.

What would you prefer it do instead of using
s?

Thanks Shiva. The problem which i mentioned in last post comes even if i copy the text from a notepad. That is the issue. Even i thought, if the contents are copied from notepad, the
tag won't come but same problem persists there as well.

I am also applying a xslt on the output of infopath. So is there there any way, i can remove those
tags using xslt? But other styles applied on the text should stay.

    Thanks

    Aseem
