    Main and secondary connection

Hi I have a main connection to a database (SQL) where i joined another table to it.

This part works fine in the repeating table.

I would like to join data from a access database to this repeating table.

This database has the material code in it which is also present in the SQL database.

my problem is that it pulls out the data from the access database

the problem is that the data from access duplicates in the rows.

    An example would be this.

    Material      Country of origin

    123            GB

    456            GB

    789            GB

In this case 456 should have been FR and 789 DE as an example.

i tried a lot of things but it seems that i dont get it done.

The text box from The country of origin is from the segondary connection. This one is in the repeating table from the SQL database

for the other info i am pulling this material info with a button out of SQL.

I also tried to add the data in there linking the country box to the material from the SQL database when the material from the access db is the same.

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

    Re: Main and secondary connection

Hi, Just found out that whatever text i add in the textbox from the secondary connection is replicated in every text box from that column as entries are returned from the main connection.

How can i relate that secondary connection with the textbox from the main connection?

    thanks for your help.

    Re: Main and secondary connection

Well, sadly, you can't. The secondary data source node isn't related to your main data source - if you want an instance of a field for every instance of a repeating group, the new field needs to be in the repeating group. Is the secondary data something you'll be wanting to submit to SQL with the rest of your data? If so, you could add a field for it, and use a default value to get the correct value from the secondary data source.
