I have designed a form in InfoPath 2007 that contains several checkboxes. When the form is submitted, it is set up to email the active view of the form in the email body (so, the form is not sent as an attachment but is displayed within the body of the email that InfoPath generates).
The checkboxes appear/behave normally when the form is filled out via InfoPath or in the browser. However, when the form is submitted, the email that is generated does not display the checkboxes (regardless of whether they were checked or not). The checkboxes appear as symbols that look like a hand writing with a pencil (which as it turns out is the question mark (?) character in the WingDings font). I have tried changing the checkboxes to radio buttons and the same thing happens. I have created a new blank form and just put one checkbox on it and had it email to me and the same thing happens. I am using Outlook 2007. I have never had this problem with previous forms that contained checkboxes before today.
Also, earlier when I was formatting this form I was getting random question marks showing up where there were extra spaces or line breaks. The question marks would show up in the email that is sent but not as I was designing or previewing the form. I was able to play around with returns and remove extra spaces in order to remove the question marks. Seems like the two issues might be related.
Does anyone know how to get the checkboxes to email as checkboxes, instead of as this funny character?
Thanks in advance for the assistance - I'm scratching my head on this one!
