    VLookup type functionality

    Hello,

I was wondering if InfoPath has some sort pf function that is simialr to a VLookup in Excel. Let me know if such a function exists.

     Thanks,

    Frankie D.

I don't think you'll find anything as simple as VLookup in InfoPath, but XPath should be able to give you all the functionality that VLookup provides, and more.  If you could give us an example of a data source and scenario where you would like to find a data value corresponding to another value, I or someone else here can show you how to construct the XPath expression.

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply. I was able to have the fields "look up" a column in a list in SharePoint with the lookup field being the filter (when two items are equal, set the value equal to the cooresponding column value) using the xPath functions. Thank you for offering though.
