Hello,

I used several attachment fields in my IP form and I am publishing this form to a SharePoint Forms library. Everything routes correctly up until the point where the user attaches files to the form. When the user submits the form back to SharePoint, an error is generated.

The problem is that the error not descriptive. It merely tells me that an error occurred in the WF and it immediately ends. I've done several tests and the error occurs in multistep workflows. Is there something that I need to do in order to publish forms with attachments?

To update file attachment ,we need to decode the file attachment and then upload it to sharepoint library.for details look at the below link:

So, you're saying that if I want to upload a form that has attachments embedded in it, then it cannot be done unless I programmatically separate the file attachment from the form.

Thanks for the article by the way, but I cannot create a WF programmatically. Is there a way that I could use this code in an infopath form and upload the attachment to a doc lib?
