Help: Multi-state Approval Workflow in SharePoint Designer

    Hi all,

I have an IP 2007 form with a simple schema and one view.  I am integrating with SharePoint Server 2007 and using SharePoint Designer for the workflow.  The workflow I am trying to create operates by starting in stage1, submitted to group1 for approval and feedback, then moves to stage2, submitted to group2, etc...

I am having trouble with the approval part where the WF actually collects Approve/Reject and Comments from the users (approvers).  How can I assign a form to a group, collect their responses, and then store them to move the form on to the next stage?

Each group is a security group on the same domain.  I would like the WF to assign a task to each member of the group and collect Approve/Reject with Comments.  Then when all of the approvers in a group have approved, the WF status changes to approved (for that stage only), then it would move on to the next stage.  The WF status changing is another challenge I have.  Is there an example somewhere?  I've been searching the internet for a few days with nothing to show

The basic flow looks like the example in the picture I attached.  Thanks to anyone who replies with help!
