Hello
My question si between InfoPath and Internet Explorer, though I don't know where I can ask it... It is an InfoPath problem since I have to use a mailto link in InfoPath browser forms, and I don't have any solution to do that.
I know there is a problem with mailto links with Internet Explorer 8 and 9, in Windows 7 : when you click on a mailto link, first the current page (therefore the form display page) is replaced by a blank page, and then the mail window is open.
I know this is due to "protected mode" in IE. I searched for solutions on the net, but the only "kind of" solution I found is using a hidden iframe, and setting a target=<iframe name> in the link I use:

But in an InfoPath browser form, I can't change the HTML/JavaScript code that is generated for the mailto link. Maybe I could try some "hack" in the FormServer.aspx page JavaScript code : probably not simple, at least.
My problem is that I have tens of mailto links that I setup in existing forms, and I can't tell my users that they need to disable protected mode for Internet Zone in IE, nor that they need to use another browser, in order to continue using their mailto links.
I would really appreciate any beginning of solution to this, since I have tens of form models, with tens of links in each...
Many thanks and best regards
