InfoPath Dev

I am no code person (not experienced). However I really2 in need to move this infopath form of a sharepoint list to different site location, that is why I wud give a shot for some codes .

The reason is that many of my controls are looking up to secondary data connection (fortunately, just one), and I have to fix all of them again everytime I want to create the list in other site collection. It is very time consuming.

It would be great if someone can also list all the possible options to do this (I can google it on how to do it)

I know how to create sharepoint list template. What I do not know is how to migrate the secondary connection of infopath form of the sharepoint list on other site collection.

If I create sharepoint list from template (on other site collection), the connection is no longer working.

If this is a list form, please try this

1) File > Publish > Export Source Files. Close InfoPath

2) Go to folder where Source Files are saved, open Manifest.xsf in Notepad++.  Find all instances of the URL and replace them with the new URL. If you have secondary data connections, update those also.

Save the manifest.xsf file and close. Now right click on the manifest.xsf and select Design to open it back up in InfoPath.  Click on File >Publish and verify the URL is correct in the “Publish form to a SharePoint List” section”.
