    "Disable this control" grayed out for Check Box

    I am trying to add conditional formatting to several Check Box controls, but the the "Hide this control" is greyed out and only the "Disable this control" is available to check. "Hide this control" is available for other controls like combo boxes and list boxes. Any ideas?

    Thanks for your time.

    You can place the CheckBox inside a Section control and conditionally hide the Section control.

    There is going to be about 75 check boxes. While that seems to be a workaround, what would cause the  "Disable this control" to be grayed out for Check Boxs? Does anyone have any idea, or a better approach to hiding items that are not checked when submitted via email?

    Thanks for your time.

    @Jimmy

    Would I need to add a section and a check box control for every item, or just one section holding all the checkboxes?

    Thanks for your time.

    The Hide this control option simply isn't available for CheckBoxes in InfoPath, and placing the checkbox in a section control is the best workaround that I'm aware of.

    The only other thing I can suggest is to see if you can't structure your data source so that your 75 checkboxes are in a repeating group instead of 75 separate controls.  If this is a viable option for you, it would save you from having to deal with laying out so many controls in the first place.

    If you need to hide or show each checkbox individually, you would need a section control for each checkbox.

    I created a section and placed a checkbox in it.  I set the section to be hidden for certain conditions.  The section is hidden, but the checkbox still appears.
