I'm having some trouble with users connection to our SQL Server database using InfoPath. The forms were originally published to our production site and data connection files were setup to our SQL Server. This worked perfectly. This week we migrated the tables to our production SQL Server database. To make this change I removed all the data connection files to my local machine and changed the Server name and initial catalog name, everything else remained the same. Once I was done I copied all the files back to SharePoint.
This appeared to have all the files checked out to me, so I deleted all the data connection files and uploaded them one by one. This appeared to fix that issue as the checked out icon is gone and it appears all files are checked in. The problem is I am the only one who can connect with the forms, all the other users get the following error message.
InfoPath Error Message:
InfoPath cannot open a new form. The form cannot be opened. To fix this problem, contact the form designer. Form template: http://works-clinical.edu/nursing/outcomes/InfoPath%20Form%20Library/ClinicalMetricsDataEntry.xsn The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: ClinicalDropDownList InfoPath cannot run the specified query. InfoPath cannot connect to the data source. InfoPath has encountered an error. The operation failed.
Did something happen when I removed the files and then added them back? The forms themselves have not changed at all, all the file names are the same, the only change was to the connection string in the data connection file. I can post that change if it's helpful. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!
