    Query Specific SharePoint List Data

I created a Rooms Reservation Form which has Date / Time and there is also a SharePoint List of Rooms. As new items are added the calendar list stores the Room, Date / Time, and several other fields. When a new Rooms Request is created after a Date and Time are entered a drop down list is to populate the available rooms by looking at the main calendar list. So if Meeting Room 1 is not booked at 11:00am and the user creates a new Room Request and picks 11:00am that room (Meeting Room 1) would be added to the list as available. I created a secondary data connection to not run at startup. My Dropdown is either populating with all the rooms or none. I am doing something wrong and need some help. I have two rules Set the query field and then query the data connection. The logic to filter the data is what I think is not working. I want to populate the drop down list of rooms not booked at that time Any help would be appreciated, -Steve

Usually what I do in cases like this is I drag the data fields of my secondary data source onto the form, so I can see their values - that helps me know what my query field value will have to look like. With date time fields, you'll want to make sure they are displayed in a text box or calculated value and formatted to display the XML value so you can see what the data actually looks like. Hope that helps...

Hi Hilary, I would like to be able to do something similar but I am very new to this. Is there any chance you could elaborate on your suggested solution? I'm assuming I bind a sharepoint list of rooms to the room dropdown list. And then add some rules to the date/time selector that pulls out a list of booking records that exist for the selected date/time and then filters the room dropdownlist based on what rooms are in the current booking list. I'm still confused as to whether this is correct or how to implement it. Any help would be great.
