Bricey:I have an infopath form library that I publish a form to.
I now have code in the form and it has full trust level
This, full trust, seems to be unnecessary and required only for client/Filler forms , to be run locally or previewing browser forms by F5 in Infopath Filler locally (?)
I have just re-checked that Browser Form with custom C# code does not need Full Trust (and, hence, administrator approval) for publishing and running from sharepoint form library
The default Domain security level is enough to publish and run browser forms with custom code from sharepoint server.
BTW, local previewing (F5) of browser form with a code in local Infopath Designer 2010 is not possible without attributing a full trust, by strange quirks and twists of Microsoft's logic!
Though they are published and run fine remotely - from Sharepoint server without any becessity to be approved - can anybody explain the sense of it:
- to be restricted in running local form on my local Infopath Filler, even if it is not accessing anything outside
- while having no such restrictions fro running i t outside
BTW, I even cannot run administrator-approved forms on my Sharepoint Online (Office 365) site since there is no access to Sharepoint Central Administration and, hence, approving forms.
Though, I can configure to open/run browser form locally in Infopath Filler by clicking links on sharepoint server
(without any changes I have browser forms opened in browser while in Mozilla Firefox and locally in Infopath Filler from Internet Explorer!
nice workaround by Microsoft itself).
So, this full trust is just incomprehensible (what's for?) pain in the ass easily bypassed!
Why is this question in Browser forms forum?
Bricey:I have published this to a network location as per the SP instructions
You mean on shared folder outside of sharepoint server?
Which instructions, can you give references?
Bricey:The new form is applied to the form template library. In order to use the browser based from in the a custom form library ive added it as a content type. So any new ones will be in the new format but old ones are still in the old one. I had assumed by updating the one in the form template library, this would automatically update the one in the custom list.
The form published to a network location for administrator approval has the same name as the original form, just some code! This is killing me!
Is there anyway to set the path of the form from within the form so it always uses a certain template?!
I am somewhat confused whether you are describing here one setup, with content types, or a few ones, also without a content types, etc...?
Have you checked the
Allow management of content types check box in the Settings area, under
Advanced Settings.
Tip Content types cannot be added to a list or library if the Allow Management of Content Types checkbox is cleared.
Anyway I would appreciate if you share here how your case ended up Update:
