Hi

I have a form that is client based. I used GetUserProfileByName web service in the form. It returnes personel PID from AD. But while they open the form they are asked to enter the username and password to connect the webservice:

Enter Your credentials to connect to the folowing web service: http://servername.com./_vti_bin/Lists.asmx 

but it dose not accept the username and password and dose not set permission to open the form

The point is that it happen for some users just!

any suggestion to help me

What happens if they try to navigate directly to the web service URL? What happens if you have them sign in as themselves on a computer where the original user is able to connect without a problem? Sometimes Internet Explorer settings can cause issues.... I think what I would do is try to figure out if it had to do with the user or the machine, then trouble shoot from there...

I have Checked. I found out that It s not related to the web service but the list that web service want to connect to it. it need permission for data connections to lists.

What's the specific permission called in sharepoint? I have granted all list-related permissions - even manage lists - and they still get the error :(
