    Qdabra Excel to InfoPath - Mapping Excel columns to InfoPath fields located in groups and Date values

    Hi,

    In my InfoPath form template I have a number of groups. I would like to to map relevant Excel columns to fields located in these groups. I specified one like this in my AppsMapping.xml file, but when I upload the forms they don't work.

     <Field name="PackageStartDate" xpath="/my:myFields/my:PackageDetails2/my:PkgStartDate"/>

    The other issue is the format of this field. In my form template it's a date field with initially a blank value (here is the relevant line from the template.xml):

    <my:PkgStartDate xsi:nil="true"></my:PkgStartDate>

    When the xml forms are generated by the tool the date is put in in the format "DD-MM-YYYY HH:MM:SS". Is there a way to change this format? Will xsi:nil="true" present a problem?

    Thanks.

    Alex.

    For your first question: is the group my:PackageDetails2 repeating?

    If it is, then the mapping needs to be reworked for these child tables.

    If it is not, then this mapping should work. Can you clarify what you mean when you say that the forms don't work? Do they not open? Do they not show the data correctly?

    Thanks.

    Hi Alex,

    I sent you a link to the latest Excel to XML Tool which now includes a new Mapper form template that allows you to create your mapping via the InfoPath UI. Please download the updated version and let us know if you encounter issues.
