I also have an infoPath form I want to pull Doc Library item information into using a Data connection. I have been Googling for a while now and can find no clear way to do this. I am thinking the best solution is to get a Web Service written in which I can query and obtain the Absolute URL. The Required Solution Is there any other /better way to do this. Why doesn't SharePoint expose the URL to InfoPath so I can show an active link in InfoPath. Any help appreciated. Kudos to the resolution Solver.
