I uploaded a form template whilst waiting for another form to finish upgrading and ran into some problems where the upgrade never completed.
I ended up having to try retract the solution and that still stuck so I used the stsadm.exe command to remove the form template that way. By removing that I managed to break Manage form Templates under Applications in Central Administration.
When I access the page now I get the following debug information

I found an article which outlines the same problem I'm having http://geekswithblogs.net/HammerTips/archive/2007/12/07/unable-to-manage-form-templates.aspx
Unfortunately they are working locally on the server with Visual Studio whereas I am working remotely. Our development machine is still being built so I am testing on our live box (smart I know...)
Anyone know how I can fix this without losing a)the existing data people have entered b)without reinstalling moss or c)Knows why my connection string isn't working to SQL to try and run the suggestions in the above article?
Quoting my reply to the blog above:-
I am trying
"SPFarm Farm = SPFarm.Open("Data Source=MACHINENAME;Initial Catalog=MOSSSQL;User Id=DOMAIN\\admin;Password=#############");"
instead of the line
"SPFarm Farm = SPFarm.Local;"
What should the initial catalogue be? The Central Admin one or the SharePoint one? Connecting remotely do I need extra parameters in my connection string? I'm familiar with C# and Central Admin but not SQL and the guy I work with who knows is on holiday for a while!
Also, I followed Phil's advice and removed my form template using the command line but it did not fix the issue and my events log is still full of errors saying
"Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: userName"
Thanks in advance,
John
