InfoPath File Attachment Control (Download to Local Machine)

When an InfoPath form is opened using InfoPath Forms Services, if this form as an attachment control with files attached to it the files need to be transmitted to the local computer before the complete form will show. This causes delay in the Form Opening dialog. Please somebody know if there is a way to avoid this delay by opening the form and then the user possible selecting something on the form to download the attachments as well. If a file of multi megabytes is attached, even approvers will need to download unnecessarily in order to just approve the requests.

I don't know of a way to prevent download of attachments. This is one of the reasons why we've developed qRules, but I haven't tested it in IPFS.

Ordinary file attachment controls store files directly in the form's XML, so I doubt that there is any way to avoid this issue while storing the files in ordinary file attachments.

I would second Ernesto's suggestion to try out qRules to see if it will work in this situation.
