Is it possible to submit a completed form to an email, and save it to a database at the same time?

I apologize if I sound unfamiliar with Infopath. I have only been using it about a week. I have created several dropdown menus and forms. I would like to be able to have someone fill out a form and email it to a specific location, but at the same time have the completed form saved or send it to a database. Is this possible? I also need all of my forms to have a unique ID number or serial number for tracking purposes. Any help on how to do this would be be helpful too!I am looking to do this the easiest way possible. As for now I am only able to utilize Microsoft Office 2003. We are in the process of getting Microsoft Office 2007, but IT still does not have a solid timeline for when that will be approved.Any help on this would get greatly appreciated.
