• Re: Prevent empty values from saving to a SharePoint List using qrules

In order for qRules to know which item to update/refresh in your SharPoint list, it needs to know the list item ID. So you'd want to make sure that your rows have the corresponding ShP list ID. Are you using a full version of qRules (not relevant but just wanted to know)? Can you attach your form here so I can take a quick look?

  • Re: Repeating Table - Autopopulate Secondary columns

Hi, Yes you can achieve this without code. I attached a sample form that would help you understand the logic needed to achieve what you want. I'm using an XML file with data added as a resource file in the form - this should simulate data coming from a secondary data source which in your case is a SharePoint list. You'll see in ...

  • Re: Error message when opening form

Hi, This error usually occurs if there are rules in a field that keep changing the value of itself, thus causing an infinite loop until it reaches the maximum limit. Can you attach your form here so I can take a quick look? Thanks!

  • Re: Date value

Hi, Date values are actually stored in the format YYYY-MM-DD in the XML, e.g. 2014-12-31. See attached XSN for a sample on how to achieve what you want. Notice I'm using a rule in the Date field with a condition: if Date is not blank, set Archive to concat(substring(., 1, 4), "-12-31") Hope it helps!

  • Re: Automate emails when sharepoint list updated

Hi, I'm not sure I understand the issue correctly - are you saying that the emails are getting sent but are not displaying the correct Approved/Rejected view? Or are the emails not getting sent at all? To send emails from the InfoPath client, you'd first need an email submit data connection (obviously). In your Approve/Reject ...

  • Re: Replicated Document URL in Repeating Table

Hi, I hope you don't mind if I ask a few questions - these will help us determine the best solution for what you're trying to achieve.Does your SharePoint library store different file types - Word docs, Excel spreadsheets, or is it a form library that stores only InfoPath forms (XML files)? Are you opening files in the web/browser?Do you ...

  • Re: Field Validation on a complex Browser Form with Sharepoint 2010

Hi, Thanks for the very precise description of the issue - not bad at all! :) I understand that you're allowing users to toggle between radio buttons to get to the corresponding section, and that validation should clear in the non-selected sections to be able to submit the form. If this is correct and if you're saying that your data ...

  • Re: Help with forms on Sharepoint 2010

Hi, You can publish your form as a browser-enabled form in your SharePoint library - this is the best option for your SharePoint users who don't have InfoPath installed. They will be able to fill out forms in the browser. If you search for this topic on the web, you should be able to get lots of helpful results with ...
