• Re: SQL for FormsViewer On-Premise Installation

Hi Arthur, It sounds like FormsViewer is successfully querying the database so I think your connection string is fine. Since you are using Integrated Security, I believe that the only account that would need permissions is the FormsViewer site's app pool identity. It should have both read and write access to the DB.

  • Re: SQL for FormsViewer On-Premise Installation

Hello Arthur, Does your FormsViewer database have a case-sensitive collation by any chance? That would explain why you are getting an error for this query. The inconsistent capitalization of @userKey does appear to have been an oversight on our part, but FormsViewer's functionality is designed and utilized with the assumption ...

Hi Arthur, Yes, that warning is expected and it should not be a problem.

  • Re: FormsViewer and UDCX

Hi Shane, I think Patrick's assessment is pretty much correct. It would probably be possible to manually submit to a cross-domain list by setting up a data connection with CAML and the things involved in that (as we've shown in blog posts and webinars in the past), but the built-in list submit functionality assumes submitting within the ...

  • Re: FormsViewer code support

Hi Arthur, Users need to be Site Collection Administrators in the site where they're using FormsViewer in order to manage templates. I suspect the option you used had the side-effect of adding users to the administrators and that's why it worked. That option should not be necessary in order to use FormsViewer. Simply adding users to ...

  • Re: unable to open submitted docs in DBXL Admin Tool

The filenames that are used when you click those Open icons are based on the Name value provided when the document is submitted (the same value displayed in the Name column on that page in DAT), and any spaces in those names are encoded as plus signs. Unfortunately, newer versions of IIS, by default, don't allow plus signs in URLs, so ...

  • Re: unable to open submitted docs in DBXL Admin Tool

Hi Jack, Does the URL that opens up perhaps contain plus signs in the file name? If so, please try deleting those plus signs and hitting enter. Alternatively, you can enter the document's URL manually in your browser: http(s)://servername/QdabraWebService/Documents/DOCID/DOCID.xml replacing http(s), servername, and DOCID with ...

  • Bulk Update JSLink Settings

UpdateJsLinks is a utility that allows you to update, in bulk, the JSLink setting of libraries that share the same name across multiple SharePoint sites. This is useful when you want to use the same FormsViewer form in several sites, for example to split your form data between different clients or departments. This download includes the ...
