• Re: Change name of repeating section

I'm not sure how you will be storing your xml files, but do be aware of the options for submitting with a secondary data connection in InfoPath. For more information, see these ...

  • Re: Cannot switch views on Submit

Hello: I'm having a little trouble replicating this. I created and published a form that has View 1 as a default, added a field called isSubmitted, set it to true when I submit via email and based an open rule off that field's value to open the form in View 2 if it is true. The submitted form, when I get it in my email, opens in View 2. ...

  • Re: Loop through a repeating table in a repeating section

Hello: Your node iterator will go through all the ItemClientGroup nodes, regardless of the section they are in. The Clicked event for an InfoPath button has two arguments: ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As ClickedEventArgs You can use e to get a node in the group the button is located in. For example, if I have a ...

  • Re: Change name of repeating section

A lot depends upon what you wish to do with the data collected from your InfoPath forms. If I was going to start from scratch, I'd just create a new blank form and let InfoPath create the schema as I added fields to the data source. What will you be doing with the filled out forms? Do you need to be able to merge them with XML docs created ...

  • Re: Change name of repeating section

Let's go up a notch and talk about the overall design and what you are trying to do. Your XSD -- was it created in Visual Studio for an existing database, by chance? I ask because I have recently been involved in another post where it seems that the columns that could be null in the database were not marked nillable in the xsd, leaving ...

  • Re: Change name of repeating section

Looking at your template, here is what I see: the itm repeating section is part of a Choice group, where you have the choice of label (a group) or itm. When itm is bound to a choice group rather than a repeating section, I have the option of customizing the commands for the section. To replicate, grab the Choice group in your schema that hold ...

  • Re: Can InfoPath (2003 SP1) add an event in Outlook Calendar?

Sure. To start with, I tested this in IP 2007 -- I don't have 2003 on my machine. So let's make sure the basic code works in IP2003 (can't think of a reason why it wouldn't, but it is always best to start with the basics). First, set your form to use VBScript as the programming language. ...

  • Re: Can InfoPath (2003 SP1) add an event in Outlook Calendar?

Hello and welcome! The following VBScript, attached to a button, allowed me to create a test event in my Outlook calendar: Dim objOutlook Dim itmAppt Set objOutlook = CreateObject("Outlook.Application") Set itmAppt = objOutlook.CreateItem(1) itmAppt.Subject = ...

  • Re: Change name of repeating section

Hello and welcome, Tom: The only way I have been able to replicate this is if the table is not bound to a section (the control would show a red x in the corner in that case). Can you post the section of your schema that relates to the group/fields your table is bound to?

  • Re: global variables in an browser-compatible infopath form

Hello: There are no global variables in C#. For some discussions on this and ways to use static variables and methods, see these links: http://www.daniweb.com/forums/thread49952.html http://forums.msdn.microsoft.com/es-ES/csharpgeneral/thread/a3bcf89f-2ce0-42b8-a6b5-d47e3ea63bd2/ For more information on the FormState ...
