I have a combo box that I am trying to populate from a data source.  The data source is recursive and the specific data is a referenced element that occurs in each level of recursion. In the example below, the combo box needs to be populated with all <Name> elements from the data source. What would I do to populate the combo ...

  • Infopath 2007 won't copy and paste

Has anyone seen this strange behavior?:  If I cut or copy anything in InforPath (Text, a control, layout table...) It will not initially paste no mater if I use ctrl-v, or the edit/context menu paste option. I literally have to tap cntrl-v 30 times for the paste function to work. Any ideas?   Thanks,   Ren

  • Re: Unusual IP error assigning schema to new form template

I found out why InfoPath will not accept the schema:  The line in the schema that Infopath reports an error is:  <xs:import namespace="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/" schemaLocation="..\..\..\..\..\..\Schema Library\Dublin Core\simpledc20021212.xsd"/> The error is acctually comming from the imported ...

  • Unusual IP error assigning schema to new form template

I am designing a new form in IP 2007 based on a schema.  The schema is valid (based on Altova's validator).  When I load the schema in the form creation wizard, I get the error: "Names beginning with the three letter sequence x, m, l, in any case combination, are reserved for use by XML and XML-related specifications, (at row x, ...

  • Re: Auto generate number

Svetoslav,   For ID numbers, I make a seperate group for generating ID numbers. In that group, I make an integer field named CRIDSeed with a default value of 1.  make the default value of the Change Request ID Field: concat("CR",CRSeed).  Next in the rules of the change request section, add a rule to ...

I though I saw the solution for this somwhere in the Forums, but, now I cannot find it: I have a repeating section nested within a repeating section.  The nested section has a combo box that looks up values from the parent section.  However, the combo box only populates with the current parent value.  For ...

  • xsn file not updating

I have been developing a 2007 IP form for the past few days. This morning, I had to extract the form files to get the schema file.  It seems that every since I extracted the form files, the xsn file stopped updating, even though I saved multiple times.  It does seem that the the xsf file is up to date. Can I use the xsf file to ...

  • Maintaining RTF formating in FOP/PDF

I am creating PDF reports with the xml data from a form.  The RTF fields have a lot of XHTML formatting. I am using Altova StyleVision to build my reports.  Unfortunately, StyleVision strips the XHTML elements out of the RTF field.  The reulting FOP code that Altova generates is:   <xsl:for-each ...
