  • Re: SharePoint 2013 and 2019 Form Library Edge

Thanks for the quick reply! This SharePoint 2019 seems to be quite a challenge. Since direct linking to the InfoPath form isn't working, I thought maybe my work around could be to filter the Form list on a unique value using FilterField1 and FilterValue1 in the URL - of course it appears in 2019 that doesn't work either and requires some ...

  • Re: SharePoint 2013 and 2019 Form Library Edge

Hi all - just checking in; if anyone has found a solution please let me know. Our corporation upgraded to SharePoint 2019 and it has effectively broken my process I had set up. Direct links to the forms won't work anymore - giving the "cannot be opened in web browser" message. But if I browse to the form library directly then I can ...

  • Re: Dynamically enable/disable "changed" Event handlers?

I haven't found a solution as of yet. I just use a global flag and if it's not true I exit the procedure.

  • Added field to Property Promotion but not showing in SharePoint?

Hi all, I created a new field on my InfoPath form, added it to the Advanced Form Settings to Promote the field to SharePoint, but the field is not showing up as a new column in the SharePoint form library? Any ideas? Is there a limit to how many fields you can promote to SharePoint? I have a few already so I don't know why this one ...

  • InfoPath and SharePoint Check-in/Check-out

Hi all, Is there no way in SharePoint to have an InfoPath filler form open and prompt you to check-out the file like Excel or other MS Office products do? We can't seem to get Check-in/Check-out to play nicely with the InfoPath file. And it's not being saved in the same location as the form library - it's being stored on an entirely ...

  • Re: Submit via Email - InfoPath 2013 to Outlook 2016

Thanks for your help, Hilary! That's exactly what the issue was -- 32 bit and 64 bit don't jive. Once I switched InfoPath to 32 bit to match Office 2016 the e-mail is working beautifully again (what IT department still installs 32 bit on 64 bit machines?! Oye!)

  • Re: Submit via Email - InfoPath 2013 to Outlook 2016

I'm on 32-bit Office but 64-bit InfoPath, maybe that's the disconnect. I'm uninstalling InfoPath right now to reinstall with 32-bit and will see if that fixes it.

  • Re: Submit via Email - InfoPath 2013 to Outlook 2016

No worries Hilary - I greatly appreciate your help! This is a Filler Form published to SharePoint but I had created an E-mail Submission method to be able to optionally send templated e-mails. Sorry if my previous message was misworded, with Office 2013 when the user would click the button they would get a read-only confirmation window similar to ...

  • Re: Submit via Email - InfoPath 2013 to Outlook 2016

Anyone have any ideas by chance? I'm really hopeful this is something that can be fixed - my director is now talking about coming up with an exit strategy to get out of InfoPath and we've only been on it since April after a year of development. :(

  • Re: Submit via Email - InfoPath 2013 to Outlook 2016

And here's the screenshot of the template and what happens when I press the "Email" button. Sorry for all the redaction. With Office 2013, when the user clicks the Send E-mail button, InfoPath would popup a window with a confirmation of the e-mail fields and everything ready to send and the user would hit "OK" which would ...
