• Re: InfoPath 2010 install on a SharePoint 2007 Server

Have you tried reaching out to the maker of the PDF convertor? They may have tested this scenario since their product requires InfoPath be installed on the server. There could be something going on here because InfoPath and SharePoint 2010 have the "sandbox" for browser forms (no more need to admin deploy) and something with ...

  • Re: How to hide ribbon components

Hi Mike, If I am wrong someone else will chime in but I am pretty sure you don't have control over the ribbon. Those are user set and InfoPath just opens based upon whatever the user had setup as far as ribbon and taskpane the previous time they opened InfoPath. If you go into Form Options | Filler Features you can see a list of things ...

  • Re: SharePoint list submission

Hi Chris, You can do this although it requires custom code or our qRules product. (See this demo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXRLMTAA-2o) However, qRules supports InfoPath 2007+ so unless you can upgrade to InfoPath 2007 you would need to go the custom code route. If you need assistance with the custom code to do this we would be glad ...

  • Re: Remove attachment & push into Document Library.

Hi, Yes, qRules can do this for you without you having to know code to do this. However, qRules is code (you just use the rules in InfoPath to call the code command). If your reason for acheiving this without code is because your IT policy doesn't allow you to publish admin deployed forms to SharePoint then qRules won't work ...

  • Re: Can InfoPath 2010 query an Active Directory Security Group?

Hi corsian, You should take a look at our Active Directory Web Service (ADWS) which can do this for you: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/ADWebService.aspx I don't believe there is a way out of the box with InfoPath to query the security groups so you would either need to write your own web service or puchase an off the shelf one like ...

  • Re: Changing Acronyms in a Field

Maybe this is a silly question by why do you let the users type in text like that for something that needs to be reported on? If they really want to use differnt acroynms for the same word you could just give them a dropdown list with the different names available but the different acronymns just set the value the same. So in your ...

  • Re: InfoPath 2007 XmlFormHostItem Dirty

You should be able to use our qRules product to return the IsDirty value: http://www.qdabra.com/en/products/qRules_new.aspx IsDirty is one of the commands you have access to. Ted

  • Re: Newbie question: Published .xsn file showing as garbled mess in IE browser. How do I embed as a website?

Hi Derek, It sounds like you don't have InfoPath client installed on the machine where you are trying to open the form? That is why you are seeing the XML in IE, that is my guess. If you do have InfoPath installed then you should open up your settings in IE and make sure that InfoPath is the default application for XML. Regarding ...
