Hi I have a related problem with Win7, Office 2010, Infopath 2010 and the error - 'To use this feature, Microsoft Office Outlook 2010 must be set as the default e-mail program' I am using code (mailenvelope) to send an email snapshot of the form. This is required because we also need to send an attachment with the email. The code ...

  • Re: Save as using rules (IP2010)

Jimmy The forms won't open in IP2010 without being 'full trust'. There were two blocks of code, one handling email and the other the 'save as' function. I replaced the email code with rules etc but the only rules I can find to handle the 'save as' require the form to be saved to a fixed location or a Sharepoint ...

  • Save as using rules (IP2010)

Hi I originally posted this in the Infopath 2010 area with no success. Hopefully better luck this time. I am currently in the process of updating/converting our IP2003 forms to IP2010. The 'save as' function on the IP2003 forms is currently handled with some VBScript. I have modified this in the new forms (VSTA) but they now have to ...

Hi I am currently in the process of updating/converting our IP2003 forms to IP2010. The 'save as' function on the IP2003 forms is currently handled with some VBScript. I have modified this in the new forms (VSTA) but they now have to be 'Full Trust', which is leading to a number of complications. Has anyone got a 'save ...

  • Re: Submit current view via email for InfoPath 2003 users

Kaushik Just search the site for "IF statement" It can be done using code or using Rules and Conditional Formatting. Gary

Kaushik Sorry but I don't know how to do this in JScript. The code in the previous replies should be enough, with the addition of oEnvelope.CC It is simple enough to create a variable to extract the value of the TO and CC fields from a textbox in your form. A search of the site will bring up plenty of examples. Gary

  • Re: Submit current view via email for InfoPath 2003 users

Hi Try this VBScript. It works with my Infopath 2003 forms. The form is attached to the email as well as displaying in the body of the email. Sub btnSend_OnClick(eventObj) Dim myEnvelope set myEnvelope = Application.ActiveWindow.MailEnvelope ' Specify addresses, subject, and introduction. myEnvelope. To = ...

  • Re: Email failure with IE7

Patrick I wish it was that simple. The code is used because I do not want to send the whole form in the email. I extract various bits of information from fields within the form to create the body of the email. Gary

  • Email failure with IE7

Hi I have been using the VB code below to send custom email messages from a button control. Using IP2003, Office 2003 and IE6 this has worked fine for the last 5 years or so.   Sub Respond_OnClick(eventObj) Set oOutlookApp = GetObject(, "Outlook.Application") If Err <> 0 Then    Set ...
