I am having this problems with check boxes as well. When I reopen the form all values are blank. They do not represent to previously selected values now saved in the data source.

I do it through a direct connection. And yes, the data source is refreshed when the form loads. It i also refreshed/updated with different information while the form is open.

I have the form linked to a database. When I open the form it is populated with data from the database. The form also updates the database. I am having problems with controls that are linked to a data source. I do not have the problems when the control is stand-alone and xml based.

When I use dropdown lists (and other controls like checkboxes and radio buttons) I link the values to a data source. The intent is to be able to use the dropdown to set the value but also display it when the form is reopened. This does not happen. I want to do this each time the form is opened. So if something new is added it is placed in the correct position the next time the form is opened.

Can i order/sort instances of repeating sections when displayed. For example I want to display repeated sections based on date (ascending). - I dont want to filter the data.

So would this code search through the results and calculate totals where the data in ''My:field1'' matches (between instances of repeating sections). Therefore allowing me to have a dynamic totalling of values even if a new category is added in ''My:field1''?

I am not sure how to edit the code behind. Also I think that this would mean that I have to search for an idetifyer by name. However if I do this I will have to recode every time a new element is added / changed.
