Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm having the same problem. I am using a text field however [Reminder], type is number, no decimals. The formula shows no errors, addDays(Reminder, today()), but when I test the form, the resulting date field shows an error when I set a 'Reminder' number.

Had a similar issue, the re-linking solution worked perfectly for me.

All version 2010, I double-checked, all 2010-browser forms. I'm using the trial version at the moment, trying to justify purchasing. I've got three different forms I had hoped to use qrules for, so I will need to figure out how to have multiple admin-approved forms running.
