  • Re: dropdownlist without an empty item

    Hi Sewid, I don't think you can get rid of the blank space. Here is a thread posted by Greg Colin who is one of our InfoPath MVPs:http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.infopath/browse_thread/thread/ebb70ba71f198519/465fa5aa80bda4fa?lnk=st&q=InfoPath+get+rid+of+blank+space&rnum=1#465fa5aa80bda4fa

    Hi Nupur, Here is a piece of JScript sample code. Hopefully, this will help you. var objField = XDocument.DOM.selectSingleNode(''//my:myFields/my:field1'') if(objField.text == '''') { XDocument.UI.Alert(''field1 field must be filled in!''); } else { var objSubmitAdapter = XDocument.DataAdapters(''Main submit''); objSubmitAdapter.Submit(); }

    I am sorry it didn't work as I thought it should be. Try this see if it works 1. On the Tools menu, click Customize 2. Click the Toolsbars 3. Hightlight Standard 4. Drag the command you want to delete off the toolbar. 5. In the Customize dialog box, click Close I hope it works this time.

In design mode (data source), double-click the drop down list whose default value you want to set. 2. Hi Sarah, check out code on this link,http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2005/07/09/437087.aspx Search for ButtonGenerate_OnClick. This button converts the XML Form to a Word Document. It does not have code for sending email, but that topic has been discussed a few times in the forum, you should be able to find it easily. Hope this helps.
