• Re: Autofill Multiple Repeating Items

Hello JStLouis! You'll want to implement the "copy repeating data" technique that we covered in our webinar on March 12, 2016 https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=PL581899A129522F53&v=W4ukzlaQBpM Let us know if this doesn't dispel your dilemma. Best,

  • Re: Generate an email if the field is being updated

Hi Sajith, Here's one idea.... add a rule to the fields that you want to get notifications when changed. This rule should set a new field called "sendNotifications". Set it to true, or whatever. Something non-blank. On submit, add a rule with a condition that checks to see if sendNotifications is not blank. If so, ...

  • Re: Conditional formatting within a hidden section

Hello, Mark: I replied to another post which seems to be the same. I think there might be an issue with either a) the browser setting for the checkboxes (right click, properties, browser and check always), or b) the value that you are using in your condition since checkboxes can have TRUE/FALSE, or 1/2 as values and that may be ...

  • Re: Automatic date formating mm/yyyy to mm/dd/yyyy

Hello, Airbornm3 and thank you for posting! You can add a rule to the field with a condition to check if it is the first day of the month (substring(field, 4, 2) = "01") and if so, just set it to a value that updates it with another function, concat(substring(field, 1, 4), "31",substring(field, 6, 10)). One problem is that ...

  • Re: Reading fields values from one SP list as a lookup and write to a different SP list

Hi Nick, List forms should always write back fields to the SharePoint list that they are connected to. What are you seeing in terms of an error? Where are you setting the concat? Is it a calculated value or a rule? Does the view include the new field? If we can get more information, we should be able to resolve this for you. It will ...

  • Re: Conditional formatting within a hidden section

Hi Mark, This will definitely work. Right click your check boxes and choose Brower tab and make sure they are set to "Always" post back. That should fix it while the form is open. When the form reopens, your conditional formatting should work just fine. If not, check the values of the check-boxes. Perhaps it's the difference ...

  • Re: Adding 2 time fields together

I recommend adding a rule to strip out the formatting from the text boxes using translate(StartTime, "T-:", "") and set the result to a secondary StartTime2 (or EndTime2). Then you should be able to calculate the difference more easily since there are no formatting characters.

  • Re: Export Sharepoint InfoPath Data To Excel Fields As Rows

Hi again, InfoPathY: Sorry to hear you have not reached InfoPath enlightenment. We are here to help. The issue may be that you have choice sections, but I am not sure about your "Pivot Table" comment. Are you exporting to Excel? If so, you'll want to make sure that you have one repeating section or table (not ...

  • Re: How do I remove the attachments from existing forms

Hi archA, You can delete them. Just add a rule that sets the original field to blank. The link should be in a separate field, so this should work. If you need to do a bulk update, our Document Deployer tool may be able to help, but it might require an hour of support to configure to run the batch job. Otherwise, just have a rule on ...

  • Re: Referral to wesbite

Hi Yannick, You can modify the URL that you use to open the browser form to navigate back to that Web site, but it will happen even if they don't submit. We have a qRules plugin that will launch a Web page on a button click, but it requires the plugin and sandbox has to be enabled for the SharePoint site. A simple ...
