We have an easy path forward for you. We built an app called FormsViewer that understands InfoPath XSN format. No change to your forms needed. Just install the app and configure your lists and libraries to open using the app and you can remove your InfoPath dependency.

I am not sure I understand your question. Is the typo in the data connection URL? That wouldn't make sense because you couldn't connect, so I'm confused.
Where is the typo?
If it's a link in your view you should be able to edit properties.

FormsViewer forms can capture camera images and upload them to a SharePoint library.
Capturing camera images is great for mobile integration.
Uploading images to SharePoint and replacing with links in your form is great for integrating photos with your customer processes.

My guess is that it won't support cross-domain. One random idea is to submit to a list on the same site and use a MS Flow to copy the data over to the other site.
