yes, the dropdowns in that section all start with gpsresp then the number of the question.  The comment boxes start with gpscom then the number of the question (text box).

Oops sorry.  I've opened the data source (control) and screen shot that.  Is this what you're looking for?

I like easier ways...  I have a checklist asking a question with a drop down control with answers (these are the ones I want to count) and then a comment text box.  I've used the count method you mention above, however, it limited me on the number of fields I could count to something like 40 (ish).  I have 182 questions.  ...
