I'm trying to follow an approximation of the steps found here. The difference is that instead of getting the name of the current SharePoint user, I want to get the total list of users. I thought ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by Rae on 09-14-2011 Re: Series of errors with user trying to open form through SharePoint Under "User Mapping," I added read/write permissions for him for that DB. I'm waiting on him to test it, but I bet that'll work. I can't believe it was something so simple. Thanks for your time and speedy responses, Jimmy! Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by Rae on 09-14-2011 Re: Series of errors with user trying to open form through SharePoint Just found the difference in our permission setups, and it's fairly huge. I've got the sysadmin role checked, and he doesn't. I don't want to give him a bunch of access over everything; I just want him to be able to fill out forms and read finished forms. Is there a specific place to do that? Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by Rae on 09-14-2011 Re: Series of errors with user trying to open form through SharePoint Under "Status" in SQL Server, under "Permission to connect to database engine," "Grant" is selected, and under "Login," "Enabled" is selected. He is also mapped to the database in question, with a dbo schema. I did go through all the options that can be seen under Properties when he was first set ... He's set to have the same permissions as I have. Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by Rae on 09-14-2011 Series of errors with user trying to open form through SharePoint Hello! I have a problem. I have created a form in InfoPath 2003, and it queries from two SQL tables that have a one-to-many relationship. We're using Microsoft SQL Server 2005. After a form is filled out, it can be submitted to SharePoint WSS 2007. In trying to solve the "plain text file" password problem, we decided to ... Posted to SQL Database Integration (Forum) by Rae on 09-14-2011 Re: Trying to stuff a SQL-submit repeating table into a repeating section...is one-to-many better? It looks like a one-to-many relationship is perfectly fine, so far, and remarkably easy. Just set up the tables in SQL, base a form off the data connection, and go. All other troubles are automagically gone. I just dragged my top repeating folder into the place that says "drag data fields here," chose Repeating Table with Controls, ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Rae on 09-08-2011 Re: Two data sources, repeating table in repeating section, trying to do conditional formatting I only added a photo and a display name today, so I understand the confusion :) Those approaches sound...frustrating. Haha. Part of the issue is I need to keep this as simple as possible, because I'm supposed to be passing the how-to-make-forms-work information on to a non-programmer, and while this is getting less and less plausible, ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by Rae on 09-08-2011 Re: Two data sources, repeating table in repeating section, trying to do conditional formatting I actually asked a similar question (why it said "data cannot repeat here" when I put the table in the section) and you responded with that link, but I don't see filtering in the properties box anywhere. I didn't think it was possible to filter repeating data from a secondary data source? So I've been trying conditional ...
