The company I work for hires outside IT. This morning remembered that they had a security update and we all had to change all of our passwords. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it? I've notified them about this problem and am hoping that it is something they can clear up. I will keep you updated. If you want to send me that ...

BTW, I'm using Infopath 2010. The problem isn't opening the form, the problem is trying to save or publish it. I get the same message in either case. I always make a copy of the current form (with a different name) that I make updates to and when finished, publish that using the current form's name and location. So when I look in ...

Hi, I've had a form that I have been using for many years. I was making some updates and when I tried to save it I got a message that the Cert is not available or invalid.
I thought I had the original steps I used to create and apply the Cert, but unfortunately, I cannot find them. I think I used some of the steps from Mel Balsamo's ...

Thank you Hilary. So how do I get it to check for only part of the entry in the dropdown list? I have four choices "8:_RCS 1", "8:_RCS 2", "8:_RCS 5" and "108:_RCS 5 (Variable type with gripper arm offset x and z)". What is important is the "RCS". I was trying to use the "contains" ...

I have a repeating section that has a dropdown list and a series of picture buttons. The picture buttons are being used mostly as just a picture that represents the choice from the dropdown list, although they allow me to place rules on them for other uses. When a choice is made in the dropdown list there are two picture buttons that could ...

Thank you. Your explanation of the compatibility and the version is very clear. I think there must have been something residual in the table and by doing some merging and splitting to affect the appearance I must have got rid of it. Once it was gone the picture could display. I have had issues with these "phantoms" before when trying to ...

Well, I don't know what I did, but it is now working. I was adjusting the table that I was trying to place the picture in and after merging, splitting and adjusting I saved the form and published it again. Lo and behold the picture is there. As always I appreciate your help!

No. the other day you helped me with updating my form. It was a 2003 filler. the choices that I have are: Infopath Web Browser and Filler Form Template; Infopath 2003 form Template; Infopath 2007 Web Browser form Template and Filler Form Template. I choose the Infopath 2007 filler Form Template and that fixed the issue I was having at that time. I ...

Yes, I just need the picture in the form. I tried the Insert > Picture and the picture is there in design mode, it is also in the preview but I still only get the black box with the white "X" when I publish the form.

I'm trying to place a picture in my form as a reference for some other controls. All I get is a small box with a black square and a white "X". I've tried just placing into a section, into a table, making it the default of a picture control and even as the background picture for an InkPicture control. At one point, I was able to ...
