I solved this by making the form full trust. I might add something that infopathdev does not recommend. Use at your own risk. :)

As follow up, my issue resolved itself - just noticed this week that all InfoPath forms calendar icons are back to normal now. Not sure when but likely a Microsoft update fixed the problem at some point.

I solved the problem apparently it had nothing to do with InfoPath. I downloaded the current HP printer driver from HP and installed it on local user's machine and it's now printing InfoPath forms!
