  • Re: Submitting image to list

I don't think I quite understand the purpose of XTP from that explanation, but I will look in to it and see if I can better understand it. An additional question I have about my SharePoint list is that there's a column called "Attachment" that is created by default, so do you know why can't I just map my attachment field ...

  • Re: Submitting image to list

Would it be possible to have my submit button trigger an event that initiates the submission of my image to my Library so that I don't need two buttons? Also in case there's a problem with the form and them submitting it's content don't want there to be a disconnect between the form and it's associated attachments. ...

  • Re: Submitting image to list

Ernesto, No, my form isn't configured to do that. I thought I would just be able to attach a file to the form and have that attachment submitted to my list along with the rest of my data. I am new to SharePoint and qRules and apparently don't quite understand the limitations yet. :) Is there a way to link the records together even though ...

  • Submitting image to list

I have a qRules form I have mapped to my SharePoint list and it works great; however when I attach a file to my form (an image) the form says it was successful when submitted, but the data isn't added to my list. Are there limitations to form creation and list submissions with image attachments? I need to be able to have an image associated ...

  • Re: InfoPath Custom Form

Is it possible to deply an administrator approved template to a workspace or subsite within my collection? For organization purposes I would like to put my form in the "Purchasing" site that I created, but if I go to Home -> Site Structure and Content and attempt to move the form from Home to my subsite, SharePoint dies on me. I have ...

Thanks Hiliary. I was wondering if that string was a method that was being called, but I didn't see anything that specifically said it was or not. As far as the form goes, I will look in to the qRules Injector guide and see what I can come up with. I might be back in touch, but if not I want to thank both you and Ted for your help over the ...

  • Re: InfoPath Custom Form

I was following a tutorial located here and when they are creating the Submit button there are some values and switches added to the rule. (see pg 11 of 13 in the link) I had everything the way it should have been with the exception of the first word "SubmitToSharePointList". I originally thought this was some arbitrary name so I ...

  • Re: InfoPath Custom Form

Just a quick note... I was able to get my form submission to list working after changing the rules behind my submit button. What is so special about the SubmitToSharePointList value that made my form start working once I put this in the "Value" field of my button action? Thanks, Dave

  • Re: InfoPath Custom Form

Hilary, Yes, I am using the SubmitToSharePointList command. I created my xml mapping without a problem and added it as a data source, along with the submit to data source. The items in my list weren't changed or added, so I know something is wrong, I'm just not sure what. I have attached my Template form and hope you can help ...

  • Re: InfoPath Custom Form

So I spent some time this morning checking out qRules and it does exactly what I'm looking for, so I'm excited about having this tool at my fingertips. The one question I have about it is how can I know what's going on in the background when I submit a form? I have created my mapping and added my qRule Command and parameter mappings to ...
