• Re: Setting off workflows

Hi Aruna, That's what I was doing before but sharepoint retains a list of previous workflows and the previous workflow gets set off for all documents before the relinking.

  • Re: Setting off workflows

Thanks Aruna, that was most helpfull, I wonder if there's a way to do this with individual workflows though. I will keep on looking as I don't want to take down all workflows while I perform updates. While I'm here, in a similar vein, does anyone know the best way of termporarily preventing people from submitting to a library ...

  • Setting off workflows

I have a number of sharepoint based infopath libraries, I often have to make changes to workflow or document. When I relink the documents to the new schema the workflow fires. I've tried disabling the workflow start options under sharepoint designer, but some documents remain linked to old workflow and cause the library to fire out a ...

  • re: Submit to a SQL Database

Does anyone know if the same restrictions regarding long binary types applies to web methods? I tried using UDC but the restriction of data is annoying and I would like to use nVarchar as well as storing data such as attachments. Is this just a restriction of UDC or is it more widespread?

  • Re: Getting linefeeds from multiline text in c#

Cheers Qazi. That was what I ended up using in the end. There are still some encoding characters there but I guess it's all just trial and error from here. I bet they're tabs or something.

  • Re: ComplexType fields and Sharepoint column types

Hi Matey peeps, You need to create a new column of the type person or group in your sharepoint library then populate it using the workflow. Read page 6 and on of this article http://www.silversandsassociates.com/HOW_TO_Populate_a_List_with_the_SharePoint_Users.pdf hope this helps Chris

  • Getting linefeeds from multiline text in c#

Hi all, I may get put on the naughty step for asking this here but I've been writing a bit of code which builds a word document from an infopath quote system which the previous developer wrote. I have managed to get most of this working using the word application object. Unfortunately I can't seem to be able to find the line feeds ...

  • Re: edit attachment

Hi Svetoslav, I've written something in c# which prevents people from uploading large files you'll need to sign your code if you use c#, the guy before me here used jscript but I struggled to find a solution. There is a good post on MS with 2 classes here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892730 you are trying to do more or less the same as ...

  • Re: edit attachment

Hi Patrick, I'm looking at how to do this too. When you say use links instead do you mean to a file share or library within sharepoint? I was thinking of writing a c# webpart that took attachments and effectively uploaded them to a library so that I can get a list of the files in InfoPath. Is there an easier way of doing this without using a ...
