  • Change view on submit

I have a form that contains a bunch of instructional text.  I want this visible to the user but I don't need it when the form is submitted.  So I created another view and have a rule that changes to that view upon submit.  My data connection is set up to simply send an email, and the settings specify to send the form data as an ...

  • Re: Hide question in first repeating section

That is the heart of the issue, yes. :)  I apologize for my long-winded question but I find if I don't explain I get answers to a question I didn't mean to ask. I am not a frequent user of this forum so again I apologize, but I do not see any attachments. What am I missing?

  • Hide question in first repeating section

I have a repeating section that contains a number of controls.  In some cases, I would like to allow the form completer to refer me back to a previous section so that they don't have to enter the same data several times. For instance, one part of the repeating section asks them to define their escalation tree, which is collected in ...

  • "Moved" template no longer works

Our server admins moved our sharepoint server to a secure server.  Now the templates that I have created will no longer submit because the location can't be found, nor can I change the submit data connection because when I try to go to design mode on the form, the template location points to the old address (http instead of https) which ...

  • Publish as PDF, and PDF formatting questions.

Our CSO uses a laptop from another company and does not have InfoPath installed.  However, he is the person who will need to review/approve security incident reports and we do not own the version of Sharepoint that includes forms services. I have built a form template for the SIR, but I want to have a button on it that allows the creator to ...

  • Copy Template?

I have created an InfoPath template for our department, and it has data source links to Sharepoint lists in our department portal. However, every other department will need a similar form but with links to lists in their department portal. The lists are specific to each department, so they can't be shared between. Can I copy the existing ...

  • Re: Generating Filename

string-length(xpath of DocNum) = 2 Then if the DocNum had 2 digits I would set the following value in the text field: concat(DocType,"-",ISONum,"00-",DocNum) If DocNum had 3 digits then I would set the same value, but with one zero less.     Thank you very much, this worked perfectly!

  • Re: Generating Filename

Thank you for your feedback and it does make sense. However, if it's possible to add an if statement to the button formula, I can't figure out how to do it. :( I don't think I need the length function, as I can just check if the value is less than 10, less than 100 etc, correct? But any syntax I try for an if statement is rejected.

  • Generating Filename

First let me say that I am a complete newbie to InfoPath and that I am using it in combination with Sharepoint to design and implement a document management strategy. I am not a developer by any stretch, so would prefer not to attempt to use code if possible.   I am using InfoPath 2007. I have a template part that I am ...
