I think you can better publish the InfoPath data to a Document Library in SharePoint and then use SharePoint's search to do a search on your library.

What do you exactly mean when you say you have a form with 10 columns? Do you mean you have a form with a table and that table consists of 10 columns?

Have you tried to republish the InfoPath form to the newly created Document Library.

Glad it works. This means that there is probably something wrong with the Development SharePoint site and not with your InfoPath form.
