From an InfoPath form I use an OpenFileDialog to open an Excel workbook and then retrieve some data to put in xml. Afterwards I close the Excel file. The problem is that until InfoPath is completely ... Posted to General (Forum) by b.harrison on 07-13-2009 Re: "InfoPath cannot open the form" Yes, I've had to use that one, as well. Sometimes, that still doesn't seem to do the trick and I have to republish the template, and then re-extract the source files before it will work. Also, double-clicking the manifest file can sometimes trigger the template update (the "keep form on your computer" vs "replace ... Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by b.harrison on 04-22-2009 Re: "InfoPath cannot open the form" Hi tomasz, This one sounds all too familiar. Try this first: close Visual Studio and open the manifest in design mode (right click on the file). Try to preview the form from there. Sometimes that will give you a more detailed error message, say, if one of the components or required files is missing. Posted to Newbie Questions (Forum) by b.harrison on 04-21-2009 Catch a cancelled sign request? Anyone know of a way to 'catch' a cancelled form signing? In my OnSign() event handler, a signature is manually created and then applied: Signature thisSignature = e.SignedDataBlock.Signatures.Create(); thisSignature.Sign(); Sign() doesn't return anything, so is there a way to know whether the user cancelled or if they ... Posted to Code (Forum) by b.harrison on 04-15-2009 Re: Another post about closing a form via code Greg, Jimmy, thanks for your input! I did find a workaround for it. If my custom validation fails, I set a field value in the newly opened form (Form B) to "Abort". From the opening form (A), I can check this field value and if it is "Abort" I can close Form B from there using one of the methods above. Posted to Code (Forum) by b.harrison on 04-06-2009 Re: Another post about closing a form via code Thanks, Hilary, but I am getting a build error when I try that. When I type just "this." in visual studio, the intellisense brings up the list of all of the methods and members of the current class. Is there something I need to do to make the this refer to the current document and not the current class? I just remembered that, ... The view is not ready." I think I am stuck. Posted to Code (Forum) by b.harrison on 04-03-2009 Another post about closing a form via code I have two forms. Form A has a link that opens Form B. When B is opened it verifies some various user input, which is done in Form B's OnAfterChange() event code. If the verification fails I want to close Form B. I have tried all of the ... Posted to Code (Forum) by b.harrison on 04-03-2009 Re: Count results of filtered section/table Hi Jimmy, I suppose I should have been more clear about my expectations of count(). I've seen this post by Greg before, and use xdExtensions multiple places. They work in rules and filters, but if I try in an expression box I receive the error "Reference to undeclared namespace prefix: 'xdExtension'." I was able to ...
