Please disreagrd my follow-up question. I was overlooking the formatting toolbar at the top of the form.

I think I may have just found the solution. In the properties of the rich textbox, there is a full rich text formatting checkbox. If I uncheck this InfoPath pastes just the text without creating a table. If there is another (better) way to handle this then let me know *** As a follow-up question...
