Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by steve.dark on 07-12-2013 Filter null dateonlytype field from SharePoint list data connection Hi there, Using InfoPath 2010 and the "newer" sharepoint list data connection type. I'm desparately looking for some guidance on using the new query fields model of a sharepoint list data connection to include only values that have a null/blank/nil="true" dateonlytype value. I can't figure out what to set the ... Posted to Data Connections (Forum) by steve.dark on 07-10-2013 Re: Placeholder text in a drop-down list control I actually found a way to do what I was originally trying to do. By setting the default value of the field that my drop down was bound to I was able to set the default text. With a quick formatting rule to emulate the grey text color this worked perfectly. I wouldn't call it ideal, but it gets the job done. Thanks for your help! Posted to Controls (Forum) by steve.dark on 06-24-2013 Re: Placeholder text in a drop-down list control That should work. Is there a way to actually have the expression box in front of or behind the drop down list control - that would be ideal but I can't seem to figure out how to do it... Thanks! Posted to Controls (Forum) by steve.dark on 06-24-2013 Placeholder text in a drop-down list control Hi there, I'm building a form in InfoPath 2010 and am trying to figure out how to get placeholder text, like what you can do with a textbox control, in a drop-down list box control that's bound to a data connection. Any suggestions or is this just not possible? Thanks! Posted to Controls (Forum) by steve.dark on 06-14-2013 IsUserMemberOfGroup web method not recursive I didn't think to check the IsUserMemberOfGroup call extensively before using it in my form; but now I notice that this function doesn't have any recursion to get at nested groups. During my initial testing of the web service, I was only checking against a non-nested group and it returned true. Not the case for our Live directory ... I think a big help was making sure that the app pool ran as Network service rather than a domain account added to the IIS_WPG group. I will wait to make any changes to my installation until the next release of the app. Please toss any ideas my way, though, as ... Posted to Qdabra Database Accelerator (Forum) by steve.dark on 05-09-2008 Re: DBXL Install Issues This environment is totally fresh. The DBXL product was the first web app setup on the box (an X86 version of the OS). I have created multiple sites for this app to be installed on, and none of them function any differently. Posted to Qdabra Database Accelerator (Forum) by steve.dark on 05-09-2008 Re: DBXL Install Issues The installer did disable anon access. Among the many things I have been testing, I gave using anon access (using a domain admin account) a shot, but to no avail. I then reset it to require windows auth. Any more ideas? I can't seem to come up with anything from MS that does me any good on the IIS side..
