ok I understand.  Just one last question.  is there something to designate file as currentfile.  The file wouldn't be known unless opened, as forms will be created all the time once they fill out a request form.  So I wouldn't know ahead of time what files name is as tons would be created.  So how would i know what ...

Hey Clay, Thanks for quick response.  It isnt the dates' i wish to input in.  It is the Created By (Name of person who created the list entry), not the dates per se.  The dates are irrelevant.
