Is there an example somewhere on how to do this? My steps aren't working as follows: 1) Have a url to open the form with a parameter added ... Posted to Qdabra qRules (Forum) by gilstamaria on 06-27-2010 Using URL to specify which view to bring up in a form? Is it possible to use a link to launch a form and have it choose a different view to display? I tried searching and couldn't find an answer in this forum. I know I can define a button or the user can just switch views when they see the default but it would be easier if I can use a link to automatically bring up the correct view. I'd like ... Is there a way to keep it in uppercase? Posted to Qdabra qRules (Forum) by gilstamaria on 06-19-2010 Re: Is it possible to pass a value from one form to the next without submitting the first form? I confirmed with my client that they're satisfied with this workaround. Thanks for your help. My client wanted to make it so that when they enter a value in the field, I do a check to verify the number isn't used yet. If it is, I then display some information for that number. If it doesn't, they wanted it to automatically bring up a new form with a field autopopulated for that new number. It would be clunky to have them ... Yes for the dynamic URL to be constructed, I'm trying to use the "Open a new form to fill out" action. Where it specifies the URL to the template, I don't see an option to insert a field for the action so I was trying something like: http://mySharePointsite/forms/template.xsn?CompNo1=../my:CompNo1 Posted to Qdabra qRules (Forum) by gilstamaria on 06-11-2010 Is it possible to pass a value from one form to the next without submitting the first form? There's a text field where I check for a value in the database. If that value doesn't exist, I use a rule to bring up a second form. On the second form I'd like to autopopulate a field with that value that doesn't exist. When the second form gets submitted, the first form is still open and they can then fill out the rest of the ... I've been trying to figure out how to set the default choice in an Infopath drop-down list to be whatever the default choice value is in the SharePoint list it's connected to. I went into Tools | Default Values in Infopath and was trying to set the appropriate formula but haven't been able to figure it out yet. I was looking at ... Can you tell me how to get this change published to SharePoint? I noticed that I can't save the view.xsl while I have the form opened in design mode. Once I get out of design mode and save the view.xsl then I'm able to save. How do I now get these change to proprogate to the SharePoint server? For some ...
