  • Multi-attribute unique entries Preceding-Sibling

I have read this post http://www.infopathdev.com/blogs/greg/archive/2005/06/08/Display-Only-Unique-Options-in-a-List.aspx   I am doing something similar using a filter directly on the listbox. This Listbox is populated by the XMLDATA from a SharePoint List. The following is my filter.    not(@ows_LinkTitle = ...

  • Re: Subset of Nodes from Nodelist by Index range

I will check that out.  I have an ugly solution I have come up with myself in the meantime.  I agree from the way it hangs it is definitely the rendering.  By the way do you know how to do what I was suggesting anyway?  Is there a way to parse through a nodelist by the index value?  I am going to post my ugly ...

  • Subset of Nodes from Nodelist by Index range

I have a solution that is partially based on Matt's blog post belowAllow Offline Use of a SharePoint List by Caching Locally  However when pushing large nodelists into a local DOM  (over 100 entries or so) this can have very bad performance, sometimes mine even hangs.  Therefore, I want to do this operation in parts as the user ...

  • Re: Reading / Editing / Writing SharePoint List Items In InfoPath Possible?

My solution was different than yours FYI.  My solution was to create a Primary Data Source from an XML file that mirrors the list structure, then populate that structure with list items, and then its fully editable and you just write it back.  I plan to do a blog about this sometime soon, stay tuned.   -Justin

  • Refreshing Remote XML File Data Connection. Possible?

I just covered this topic in another post.  However, I thought I would post an open question as I do not have the answer.  Is it possible to refresh an XML file based Data Connection?  I have found that when using the technique to populate InfoPath based on a SharePoint List View through an XML creating URL (technique ...

  • Re: Accessing specific views in a SharePoint list from InfoPath fields

There is actually a workaround, however it has limitations.  The workaround is covered at the following URL.  http://blogs.msdn.com/infopath/archive/2007/01/15/populating-form-data-from-sharepoint-list-views.aspx  The limitation that I have discovered (may not be absolute) is that I cannot refresh this data without restarting ...

  • Re: Reading / Editing / Writing SharePoint List Items In InfoPath Possible?

Thanks for your help.  My real issue, however is in adding the column of data.  I can't seem to add a column to a repeating table bound to a secondary data source.  I keep getting the can't bind a non repeating element to a repeating... error  This column/field does not exist in list one only in list two.  So my ...

  • Reading / Editing / Writing SharePoint List Items In InfoPath Possible?

I need some help.  I have been trying to figure out a way to edit SharePoint list Items in InfoPath 2003.  I can successfully create list items no problem using web services, and can read them using data connections.  I am trying to find a way to update or rewrite the list items I am pulling down.  Here's my problem.  ...

  • Printing SelectNodes works for Primay DataSource but not for Secondary can you explain why?

Can someone explain this to me?    When trying to print a parent node in a Primary DataSource the following code produces a dialog box with all fields in that parent node.  AttendGroup is a repeating table in the form in which this code works.  All the fields are printed in one dialog box for each row in the repeating ...

  • Re: Submit Form to email body as plain text?

Matt, I see how this example for formatting text works, however I am a bit new to XML.  if you are using selectNodes() instead of selectSingleNode to select all values in a repeating table, I would like to know if there is any way to grab entire rows.  For example if you had a table with three columns, clearly the xml knows which 3 ...
